    The detergent-proof washbowl was awarded the Queens Award for Innovation (2011),  It has been developed with the help of clinicians to meet demand from Infection prevention nurses who identified that re-using plastic washbowls without properly cleaning and drying was a significant infection risk.    The washbowl is ideal to use for the following:  Hand washing, general surface cleaning, wound care, shaving, continence care and foot soak/procedures.
